Useless video.

hair - of any kind - doesn't work, neither does a dog, for that matter. even when she's outside, the rabbits are around the corner eating all the plants. only sure thing is to plant things they don't like to eat, however, some of the plants that are mentioned that they don't like - they actually DO. trial and error, I guess. I can't have tulips of any kind - the heads are gone before they even open. they've even nibbled my coral bells leaves down to nothing!!!!

Can animal and human hair keep away any other animals besides deer and rabbits?

Please tell me I don’t have to hang junk all around my garden making it really unattractive to keep deer away.

I'm not making a video but this semi-works for me. I have huge amounts of landscaping and i spray the non-veggie stuff they like with a safe product from Loews. For the veggies, a radio 24/7 works wonders (country music seems to keep them away best). For deer i place stakes 3-4 feet apart and tie fishing wire on two levels. For some reason the invisible wire keeps them out.
Failures - hanging shiny objects like pie pans, hair, marigolds, herbs (I planted tomatoes in the middle of a huge herb garden with no difference), hanging CDs, an automatic noise maker (although I was told this was absolutely the best) -
I tied dozen of CDs around the garden last year after deer devoted all my vegetables and plants, it didn't work at all.

rabbits will dig under a fence. I have a fence around my yard and my garden. yes its tight to the ground. and the dang rabbit dug under both fences. I filled in the holes and the next day another hole next to the one I filled in. it ate all my cucumber and melon plants. so next year I am going to cut some more fence about one to two feet wide and lay it down flat on the ground in front of my standing fence and wire it to it. this way when those darn rabbits try to dig next to my fence they will run into the fence I laid flat and won't be able to dig.

That´s no interisting. I tried to keep deer and rabbits away from my garden and I found a great solution - I bougt one lion and some tigers, since that time I don´t have problems with deer and rabbits. Of course I don´t have problems with neighbours too.

No, at least not for me anyhow. I use fruit cages now which doesnt look great but its still a whole lot better than a ruined crop.

Human hair/dog hair doesnt work at all as a deterrent to the rabbits around here. Fencing is the only sure way, its a lot of hassle but it works. Ive tried a lot of different methods and especially the obvious ones. The cd trick doesnt scare birds im afraid in response to a previous post. I dont have a deer problem so i cant speak to that aspect!

Nice, will those CDS scare birds away from berries and tomatoes? Thanks =)

Thanks for the helpful tips. :)

Thanks!!

hair does not work. I tried it. No luck.

Gosh, I wish I'd remembered that! :o( I couldn't find any netting in my stuff, & couldn't think of what else to use! Gah! They ate my crocuses & 1/2 of my tulips. :-/ Sigh.
