To keep deer out here is what this commercial recommends: Plant boxwoods, pay them to come and spray, or build a fence.

You people are tough! I thought it WAS helpful, and I'VE been trying to outsmart deer
( unsuccessfully ) for years. I learned that 1.) The deer start eating more in late Winter/ early Spring because the doe are pregnant and need more nourishment. 2.) They may not forage in your yard as much until mid to late summer if you have had a lot of rain because the subsequent fast growth of the plants make them less palatable, and
3.) An oak tree nearby may divert the deer and lure them away to better fare.
Everyone's looking for a magic bullet to keep deer away; It doesn't exist yet. The ideas stated here are the standard ones, and useful; Stop complaining and enjoy the information! -

Any tips on how to attract the deer to the garden? I'd love to see more deer in the fields around my home. Couldn't we feed the deer so they eat the deer food and not flowers? Feeding the deer acorns is a great idea!
