Every yard should have one of these to keep those expressionless, rotten, disgusting, varmints on the GO!!!

I ordered one of these yesterday. I've had to resort to putting up garden fences next to my privet hedges because the neighbor kids keep running between them which prevents the hedges from forming a solid wall. After next week, they should get a nice shot of cold water if they enter my yard via the hedgerow......or any other direction they seem to think they have a right to use. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've got my surveillance cam already aimed at the spot. Hope I get to see the first crossing from one side of my yard to the other. Should be pretty funny. Especially if they stop to check out what just sprayed them and then BAM! They get sprayed again! Woo-hoo!!!!!!

I'm getting one of these for a nosey neighbour that gets his dog to piss on my lawn. fucker is always staring at me so il give him a fuckin reason to stare. bonus keep the cats n deer away too :)

I have 10 cats-had up to 27 at one point-but they're all INDOORS where they belong. But I'd have no problem with this device. I was looking for a way to keep the squirrels and raccoons away..... But water isn't gonna stop either one. .

why dont cat owners let ther cats shit in ther own fuckin gardens
-
This is a simple solution, I bought it online for my neighbour for $50 because she claimed she "tried everything."
-
why do cat lovers think we should except cats going to toilet in our gardens. 40 cat lovers thumb this video down least the guy don't shoot the cat. i know guys who kill cats if they step foot on their property least this his humane way. A bit of waters not going to hurt a cat.

It may be squirting you instead of the rake because the manual says "the Scarecrow uses a passive infrared sensor to 'see' the temperature difference between an animal and the background." The rake isn't a good hot cat substitute.

Thanks for the review. I have cats doing their business in my garden.
It's a bit frustrating, but people who own cats. Keep them indoors. I don't have a cat right now but if I wanted one I would go get one. It never ceases to amaze me that cat owners who let there cats outside never think about where their cats go. I'll tell you. They're going in your neighbours yard and they are thanking you for the free gift from your cat :) -
IR motion detection looks for a moving heat source , (like an body heat of an animal or human passing through its cone of detection lens) a plastic bucket or a rake wont work unless they are at a warmer or colder temp then surrounding area, look up how IR motion detection works , same exact process is Motion detection lights and alarm sensors.

please shorten ... 60 seconds is enough!

I just want to thank you for trying to find a humane way to repel cats from your garden. Our next door neighbor lured our cat into a steel trap and tortured her. We weren't even aware of the fact that she was going into his yard. We filed a complaint with the police department and they are charging him with animal cruelty. We were doing a search on different types of cat repellants when we found your video. We were thinking about inventing something like this but it looks like it's already been developed and is working! I wish our neighbor would have been as thoughtful as you and all of the other people who are using the Scarecrow. I wish you the best of luck and hope it works well for you!

You might also find decorative bricks that have holes in them. If the one you like doesn't have a hole, get a masonry bit and drill one. Don't use a regular drill bit the brick will destroy it fast.
-
That is nice, you can daisy chain them together with shorter hoses if you have more than one. What you need is one that can automatically target the cat and hit it with a good strong stream of water until it gets back out of range. Of course that would probably be really expensive.
-
If this was my video, I might think about editing it to show the device working as designed. It doesn't detect rakes or flower pots, it's designed to sense body heat of a living animal.
-
RTFM ... the sprinkler does not constantly toss water - it pauses for 8 seconds before it sprinkles again - hence it's sprinkling you after you move in front of it.
-
PIR... it detect a heat source, so won't detect a rake or bucket very well. Needs an animal or human to test it... or bucket of hot water.
-
with this, the cat will poop and be gone before your scarecrow decide to take action.

You need to adjust the sensativity and aim better. trial and error until you have it just right. Also when it goes off it take a few seconds to reset. I have one for a few years and it works great. Also you need to change it's location from time to time because the animals will get used to it's reach and location. Moving around to different locations will keep them guessing and eventually they will stay out without using the scarecrow. Moving it around works the best.
