my gosh dude! you need to do more research of watermelon. You don't need a lot of water on watermelon, cause to match water make them lost they sweetness. That way when they don't harvest watermelon on a rainy day. And when they harvest it, they don't water it for a week an a half before. you only water watermelon 2 or 3 time a week dude!...

When we lived in Arizona I washed seeds the kids spit all over the porch down into the rocks. We ended up with 30 great melons. When we moved back to Minnesota and I now had 3 tillable acres I bought a bag of 500 seeds. I hand planted them. I sat and waited thinking much like my Arizona miracle melons they'd be popping up all over the place. Well you know the end of the story. Not one stinking melon. Now at least I know it was all me,Thanks for the great info.

Hi! Wow, I'm super impressed with all your knowledge about watermelons. I'm growing them to and was wondering..I'm growing it in a large pot and it's doing very well! one of the melons (sugar baby) is hanging over the side from a branch. So to prevent it from snapping or falling off I was wandering wether I could place a pot of soil next to this pot so that I can rest the watermelon on the soil so that the branch and melon will be supported. May I please ask you wether this is a good idea? Thanks for the video, ciao! Sally

Watermelons are easy to grow. I just plant them and water until established. They're in northern WV clay soil and never fed at all. About 100 days from transplant........delicious. They do need a LOT more than 25' ft per plant though!
