Bolting causes split of onions. Not bad. If bolting buds were not removed, still plant kept on growing by splitting. Your spring onions looked like garlic sized. Spring onions taste really good.

I grew spinach, onions, tomatoes, corn and okra in same bed at high density. Spinach, tomatoes and corn competed a lot. When corn and Spinach is harvested in June-July, Okra and Onions grew rapidly. Same bed was producing from spring to winter without planting in between. I used a lot of horse manure.

My green onions are turning white....Do you know why this is happening ??? i wish I could send you pictures.. I believe I am properly watering them

how do they do in the stock pot?

how much sunlight does those need? I'm planting ~15 green onions in a wide deep container and harvest the leaves for cooking. i fertilize them regularly with fish fertilizer, epsom salt and tomato food all once a week. They started grow slowly after 3 harvest (I harvest every week) and I'm wondering what's going on... is it possible that they don't like the epsom salt? What about sunlight? Do they need full sun or just partial?
