such hypocrisy. Modern agriculture uses pesticides that work the exact same way, the vast majority of which are naturally occurring. But apparently you can still be "organic" and think you're not using "chemicals" when you spray it with those bacterial and pest killers.

Right! Just think of the wonderful things that was brought to the U.S. by the Europeans. Measles, scarlet fever, typhoid, typhus, influenza, pertussis (whooping cough), tuberculosis, cholera, diphtheria, chickenpox and sexually transmitted diseases as well as syphilis and more! Damn immigrants LOL

Be careful when using any pesticide and always use sparingly. BT is touted as natural and safe but can have adverse effects on beneficial insects as well. Make sure the BT you have purchased is for the specific insect you are trying to kill. BT is a bacteria and there have been numerous strains developed to destroy specific types of insects.

I use a product called "Captain Jack's Dead Bug Brew". It's main active ingrediant is Spinosad. According to the little pamplet that comes attached to the bottle, It suggests the maximum number of application are 6 times per season. Further more, it suggests waiting a minimum of 7 days before re-applying. Finally, wait 7 days before harvesting since your last application. Once a week...I can deal with that.
