How To Grow Pot Plants in a Container Garden
Tips, Tricks
BBC Gardener of The Decade, Katherine Crouch, on pot plants and container gardening. Katherine uses a mixture of garden pot plants in this video to help inspire your own garden planting ideas. When chosing garden pot plants Katherine uses a 'thriller' plant to give height and drama, a 'filler' plant to provide foliage and colour and finally a 'spiller' pot plant to trail out over the edges of the pot or container. Watch the video and see the beautiful results this method of pot planting will create. Katherine also describes methods of fertilisation to ensure your container flower garden and garden pot plants look great all summer long. I loved this video, my 2.5 year old and I watched it together bc we are taking a love of gardening together. My current problem is that I want to create a beautiful pot like this one but my porch is shaded so my floral options are limited. Do you have any suggestions?

One of the best demonstration I have ever seen. Very thorough. She answered all my questions. Thank you

This lovely pot would do well in a cool, moist climate. Wish I could grow something like this in Arizona.

She shouldn't have added the last two plants and the seeds. Those climbing plants will ruin the arrangement. Also that brown plant is so out if place. The color doesn't match.

need to think about a mosquito skirt for all the planter water trays. I move my big plants indoor for the winter and then roll them out to the deck in the spring and they stay out till the next fall. Apparently the mosquito that carries the Zika virus likes to breed indoors and is an aggressive day biter!! found the Stillaset mosquito planter skirt. have on the plants on the deck now. holding up after the last big hail and rain storm
