Do not do the paper towel thing! You'll lose a good bunch this way. That's neat to show kids how germination works, but that's it. If you started inside and move them outside - watch out for slugs until they're at least a foot tall. I haven't used it - but Sluggo supposedly works. I've also seen copper brillo pad around the base of the garden which makes it like the slug is trying to walk on knives.

It is not 70* two weeks after last frost date. great take seeds from paper towels and destroy the roots by transplanting them zinnias do not like transplanting zinnias are not perennials they re-seed but this does not make them perennial powdery mildew is deadly to zinnias
