Have you ever used worm castings in your garden?

This last year was my first year to grow peppers and I started them indoors under a grow light and I used a heating pad. The only lost like 3 out of 20. I also kept them next to a small electric heater and they did very well. I love to watch these videos over again to refresh my mind on your growing tips. You and Cindi are awesome!

Thanks, I learned a lot!

New to your channel, so I am just catching up.
I live in SE MI. My garden soil is mostly clay, with a little added sand and a lot of composted grass clippings and brown leaf compost. I don't do raised beds because I have a small area (15x20) and want to maximize my planting area. I have always had good luck with newspaper and grass clipping as a weed inhibitor and it keeps the soil moist. My tomatoes (several varieties), zucchini, summer squash, and green peppers have always done well. After too many failures to count, I have given up on trying to grow red bell peppers, which I love. They just never ripen and usually rot on the plant by late summer/early fall
Any tips specific to red bell peppers. -
Do you have your hands on the spiciest Carolina Reaper?
-
How much time did all of this take?
-
I am going to grow broad beans(fava) through the mild winter for early spring harvest. Do you think I can grow peppers in the same bed afterwards or would the beans add too much nitrogen back to the soil for peppers?
-
Luke, my question is, if I attempt to over-winter a Carolina Reaper in a raised bed; will adding compost and mulch (I'm thinking up to 3 inches total) be a problem? I would love to get a bit of feedback, bro. Much appreciated.

Or start the peppers a week or two earlier and prune them indoors and it works even in cold climates and you can ask Stephen from Alberta garden about it,he would be an expert

Thank you for the reinforcement! Great video.

My green pepper plants are not producing fruit. My other pepper varieties have peppers but the green peppers have only leaves...LOTS of leaves! What's wrong?
-
if you don't bury the pepper deep enough not good I would rather bury them a little deeper then too shallow..
-
Great tips Luke. My shishito peppers are just starting to put out peppers. You helped a lot when I was trouble shooting the various issues they faced. They look great now, thanks!
-
thanks. i think I planted my peppers too deep and I think I have been over watering them this year. so this was helpful.
-
Great video Luke. One suggestion is the mention of companion plants. I have basil planted next to my shishito, farmer, and purple jalepenos. I'm curious to see if their is a difference in taste compared to the plants I have, each in a 7 gallon fabric container. The basil is supposed to enhance the flavor of the peppers.
