How to Grow Nether Wart - Farming | Minecraft 1.7.x
Tips, Tricks
In this Minecraft video I show you my Nether Wart Farm in the over-world. Farm gets about 1,400 Nether Wart per harvest. Very easy to build and semi auto, all you need to do is re-plant. How to grow nether wart is quite simple and works the same in all the previous versions. All you need is nether wart and soul sand. Put the block of soul sand anywhere in the light or dark and plant your nether wart on it. You can very quickly expand your nether wart farm from one piece to huge farms in no time as I believe you get 6 nether wart from each piece grown. --------------------------------------------------- You can now follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get all of our latest seeds as soon as they come out. I just put water source blocks on top of extended pistons connected to a lever, the pistons keep the water at bay until you flip the switch and then wait for it to push it all to collection. You really only need about 1/4 of that farm, and as it is, it's really not cost effective to make that many dispensers just to harvest 1400 netherwart at once. Especially considering the low grow time on netherwart, you could probably get away with like an 8x8 area instead of a 32 x 32ish area. (You could even lower that, but I chose 8x8 because water travels for 8 blocks when hitting the last row of crops from above. You could make 7x7 with the water coming from behind a piston) Also the final crop can yield up to 4 netherwart. You could easily just harvest it as you need it. So all you would need is a stack of soulsand, stack of netherwart, 8 pistons, 9 buckets of water. No offense intended, just telling you my idea that I do with my auto harvesting farms. Works with wheat, carrots, and potatos as well~
