May I request a question? I have bought a packet of marigold seeds. I tried sowing them, i saw a few small shoots come up after a few days, however when they started growing the stem was very thin, like very lean and then the seedling died, what could be the reason? By the way, I planted exactly in the same method that you showed. I live in Australia (Sydney) its summer here currently. But I sowed the seeds in winter..

Tell me how much time they take to germinate

Hello everyone I have planted many times marigold and I had a good result and now I am going again to plant it from the seeds so that I can do my own business. Thanks for the video ''LearnHow2''

GOOD INFORMATION. THANK YOU.

Your ground seems very sandy. I had a problem with it not wanting to grow in clay or sandy ground.

NOOOOOO...never grab the stem....only by a leaf

thank you! first video I have seen done like this for marigolds. I saved tons of seeds from last year and wondered why I am having such a time growing them. I understand they pretty much grow themselves, they are so simple. Except for me and I have plenty of experience planting and growing all kinds of seeds. I even got Gerbera Daisies to sprout. Now that is an effort, trust me.

I just throw them in the yard and they grow everywhere

Hi,
Nice video with good information. The only thing I will say is that you should never handle the seedling plants by the stem as you risk crushing the stem. They should be handled by the seed leaves only. I find it easier to transplant the seedlings if you wash off the access soil by dipping the roots into a pot of water several times to clean them this also avoids the roots from drying out and that way they transplant without shock.

What's the difference in the soil you planted the seed in at first versus the second soil? Why remove the plant from the first soil anyway?
