It might be good advice if you live in coastal hurricane alley like the Carolinas to avoid this plant, but since most of your viewers live in California or other climates with milder winters and no hurricane worries I think you're being a little too harsh on this beautiful tree. We have an epidemic of idiots filling their entire lots with big box homes up to their property lines with multiple windows above 6-foot privacy fences, Leyland Cypress is the perfect solution for this madness, it is a lifesaver! I love them!

Especially if it would be covered with an ice in the winter harsh weather?
