I dig the up. and clean them as you would potatoes and them layer them in a pot with soil and keep it near the backdoor to the kitchen for easy access. Any left over in the spring go back in for the next year. It saves having to dig them out in the freezing cold and stops them from drying out.

How much did they weigh?
-
Do you know which variety these are, Tony?
-
That's amazing looking soil, Tony! What a haul!

Loving your videos. They are helping me plan my newly acquired plot in Mertyr.
I hear you talking about the Valleys, where abouts is your allotment?
Jim (aka Scotty)
This is mine, which I hope to start clearing as soon as the rain stops :)

Hi Tony, I have just planted some of these for the first time, I got them from EBay (good price) I never knew what the things tasted like until I had some at a friends house and YUM, Ok I did have a bit of a wind problem after but on trying a few more it seems to have got better, but it's the flavour that I seem to like, so that's why I got a load. The thing is it's your planting of these that got me interested. Graham

I think they have what's called 'determined roots. They certainly punched their way down for you. Great harvest mate and another really well put together video. Well done mate. All the best

You hit the lottery with them.

Incredible, I've never seen anything like it, will certainly try these.

What a phenomenal harvest. That looks like a great yield for such a small area.I'll have to give those a try next year.Cheers, Andy

Jerusalem artichokes never tried them to tell the truth, But like you say roasting is the way to go, I was given some earlier this year but never got around to planting them, I ended up giving them to my friend who had much the same result as you've just had Tony mate..Great video keep them coming mate...
