Hi Bonsai Student, that is such a glorious Japanese maple! Any chance you'll make an update video (or re-pot video) on this Japanese Maple and the Shishigashira Japanese Maple? Thank you for taking us along on this growing instructional!

I have a wonderful 3 acer trees in our garden in London (near Hamstead), it needs moisture dairy so I set 2small ponds and small shade areas , acer doesn't like full sunny place, also the soil Ph should be 6Ph as we'll otherwise it will be die soon. we grow from seeds

Great video! One question please, I have a Acer shirasawanum "Autumn Moon" in a planter. The tree is outside in Boise, ID zone 6, Ive used chickenwire to make a blanket of mulch around the planter for insulation from cold and a layer of mulch over the top. Currently our temps are below freezing at night but we have had almost no rain. Conditions are arid high desert. I water trees planted in the ground once a month in these conditions, do trees in planters need watering more often? Thank you

He estado viendo los 3 videos de tu Acer Palmatum y veo que lo estas cuidando muy bien! Mi duda es si yo pueda hacer lo mismo en un clima seco con pocas lluvias y temperaturas de 30ºC.

Great series!

I hope I don't say anything to offend you but in watching your videos, it's obvious that you love your Bonsai hobby but I'm really surprised at the condition of your yard otherwise. Is there a reason why you neglect the rest of your landscaping? Once again, not meant to insult you in any way.

Congratulations from Spain! I've just entered in the Japanese maples world and feel it is very interesting and exciting. I live on a mediterranean climate so for me it is kind of a challenge! I will follow your progresses!
