When it comes to fertilizers it gets very confusing with so many options. What's the recommended for regular early in the season growth, 2-2-2 or 20-20-20? Isn't the higher number more nutrients?
And what about when they start to bloom? I read it is good to drop the Nitrogen number way down during flowering, is that true?

Pepper Joe. My pepper Pequin plant is Calcium defendant. I bought Hi-Yield Agricultural Limestone. They are potted plants. Can I use too much of this? 50lbs pots. Is a 1/2 a cup on top of the soil too much. Thanks for your input.

What would you recommend for spacing pepper plants in a raised garden? I have around 70-80 plants started from mini belles, jalapeno cayennes, habaneros to ghost pepper, scorpions, 7 pots and reapers (reaper madness seeds). I'm currently planning a 6 feet x 32 feet raised bed and I was wondering if I should be building more space for them. My seeds from you are off to a fantastic start btw.
