We grew peas for the first time this year... I screwed a few things up! Lol - chalk it up to lessons learned.

Are they decoration peas? Or eating peas

How I planted my peas: I tossed the seeds onto unworked soil next to my garden fence, then covered with a few inches of compost and a thin dusting of mulch to keep the soil moist while the seeds germinated. When the seedlings grew to around 6 inches tall, I heavily mulched around them. They are growing beautifully and pushing out mad blooms. Peas and beans will grow anywhere provided you give them plenty of water, compost, and mulch for the ideal growing medium. I've never fertilized peas or beans before, never tested my soil. They just grow and produce more than I can handle every time. Compost and mulch is all you need when it comes to growing peas and beans... or anything for that matter.

Thanks for the video. I now know why I have never had luck with peas, too much sun and soil is too hard. I will try again this year. Thanks for all your tips.

Thank you for this video. This will be first year we will be planting peas, I just picked up 16oz of seeds today. We don't plan o planting them till some time in April. Is it ok to get the planters ready in March, with the soil and the worms you suggested?

Great video. Is it possible to grow peas indoors?

could you give temp ranges rather than "...when it is cold". Your idea of cold and a person in parts of California is likely 30 to 40 degrees apart. thank you for the videos

Why some of my pea plants turned yellow and died? They have enough water and nutrients.

Thank you! This is my first time growing peas; grew from seed, are super tall but no flowers yet. Planted Sept 6th in Zone 5...may not make it before the first frost, but it's a learning experience, right? :) Thank you for this video!
