I tried to grow in a pot this year. It never flowered.

are they going to grow for like forever in here ? its always summer where i live, we do not have winter

So, you have tulips and dahlia's outside in your garden in the winter.
You lucky basterd ! Here i have frost for tulips, but to mutch frost for the dahlia.
I put them in plastic bucket's filled with light moist sand. That way i can stack the bucket's into a tower. It doesn't take more place than the size of one bucket and still can have a lot of them. -
I have a dwarf dahlia that when it blooms, all the flowers are facing downwards. When I first got it the flowers were upright. I'm not sure what's wrong. I planted in a sunny spot and it's getting at least 4-6 hours of direct sun every day.

Great question, tamjermoore. You can leave them in the ground because of the warm winters we've been having and you have just the right idea when it comes to mulch- protect them with a good layer and they'll be just fine.

we eat them in indonesia as a sugary taste ( what i heard )

I love your video's I live in an apartment so I only have house plants however, I dream of owning one day :) so I can plant Dahlias!

I live in Baxter County, Arkansas ... zone 6b ... could I leave Dahlias in the ground overwinter with a good layer of mulch or would I have to dig them up?
