That's why I didn't mention any names either haha but I'm sure you know who they are. Yes I did hear about the tobacco virus and I'm sure the workers there do smoke and then come and handle the plants with their nasty fingers. Got myself a little greenhouse so I've started growing the seedlings in there... away from the ever changing weather here in Melb.

Yes, it's a tricky one. Picking up viruses from retailers is not uncommon especially for Tomatoes, anywhere there is smokers there are Tobacco viruses. I am sure mine come from a very big retailer, but I don't want to mention names. Having Sweet Basil nearby helps, but it's all about creating healthy plants and soils to overcome these problems. you're welcome Marty :) True, plus I bought the seedlings from a store and probably they already had picked up a virus. I know better now, so I'm growing my own from seed and they are looking much better. I guess we all have to learn the hard way.

Hi Shemy Thanks for commenting on the video. I am happy to hear that your Cucumbers are doing well. My Toms are starting to grow back, but the virus is a real issue. A lot of these viruses are Tobacco viruses as the Tomatoes are related. Just need to keep improving the soil over time so the plants can withstand the attack. Happy Gardening Marty

Great tips.. thanks Marty. I've got 12 cucumber plants growing and so far they are looking good. Wish I could say the same for my 3 beefsteak tomato plants, they are looking pretty sad.. same as your tomato plant.
