Thank you very much for this amazing video! I am growing broccoli in container and I'm a newbie in gardening, but so far so good. It's growing so beautiful.

thanks for another wonderful video. I want to grow broccoli in containers this year. can I have seeds for this variety from your website?

Thank you so much MI.... A friend gave me some broccoli seedlings ... I didn't want them ... way too ADVANCED GARDENING for me. I'd given her some tomato seedlings, so I felt obligated to take the broccoli. Thank you so much for container sizes. It's so hard to find such information. I put three plants per 3.5gal container (nursery sizing 5gal) they are doing BEAUTIFULLY. Taste great and more sshoots on the way. I'm thinking that the variety is Waltham .... heirloom. My only trouble is that they HATE full sun and begin to wilt in 5 minutes and I feel too sorry for them to suffer, so I move the contianers into the shade every time. Great muscle building for small .... persons. Gardening takes a LOT of TIME. No time for ANYTHING ELSE. Thanks for all videos.

How many plants can be grown in a 5 gallon bucket?
-
I would think that one larger plant would produce a greater harvest than 3 smaller plants would so it's not exactly a waste of a sq ft. I guess with the smaller plants you have backups if you lose one or two of the others, that's one advantage to this method I can see. I'm considering growing some broccoli in containers to save space in my garden so thanks for the video.

I "do" love your videos particularly those for container vegetables. With that said, I really wish you could augment those videos once plants have "matured". Its really hard to believe you got heads on those 3 broccoli plants in a pot that small. Make a believer out of me and show these plants through fruition, PLEASE!! I'm dying to see them.

I planted your purple broccoli seeds this spring. Beautiful plants but no broccoli heads. Finally had to just pull them out. Why is that?

Can you use both Trifecta+ and worm compost tea? Overkill?

I second the question about spices, I know some herbs you put in pots I do believe... ? But which spices/herbs whatnot can be potted. I'm curious about what can be. What size pots do you suggest. I'd like to pot up a few and possibly leave the herbs in pots if possible for awhile, a year or so. My husband & I are going to be moving to the family farm and I don't want to plant these valuable items at this house only to have to replant them at the family farm when he retires from the military.

hey! So there's a video you posted about growing potatoes and a myth about them not growing up. My dad grew so many potatoes, stacked in tires. One potato deep in the ground... and 4 tires high, over time of course, one potato grew roots all the way up and potatoes grew inside every tire. So you said they wouldn't and can't grow like that. they do. you really should research before you claim things. And another thing, cuttings from sweet potatoes grow sweet potatoes. Even if they say it can't be done.

I started my broccoli and cauliflower a few weeks ago in solo cups. Thanks for make sure I transplant them into containers correctly. :)

Love it. I've grown in containers compact spacing like you're showing for a while now and I do get that screaming plant syndrome every time. Had 4 cabbages in a 12" diameter 5 gallon container recently. They push away from each other over the edges. I've noticed they don't grow as big though. No more 4 cabbages in 1 container any longer, but love the square foot idea in containers. Great job as always Luke.

This is great to know. I just planted some brussel sprout seeds and was wondering if I bit off more than I could chew in terms of where to pot them. I have very limited space since my "garden" is an apartment balcony. This video series is great. Keep them coming.
