Like my cabbage, this is the very first time and planted a broccoli plant. Furthermore, on the day I purchased the seedling was the very first I knew broccoli could grow in my country. I hope this video encourages you to plant your own broccoli, and start your own backyard garden, if you don't have one. Remember, a backyard garden in some way, will keep the doctors away. Broccoli plants do well in cool weather, but with sun light, water, and rich, fertile soil. I recommend using compost soil. Plant your broccoli where the soil is, well-drained, moist soil with plenty of organic matter. Mulch the ground around the plant to keep the ground cool and moist. I am using seaweed and leaves as mulch.
Broccoli plants are also part of the cole crop family (Brassica oleracea). Other common crops in the Brassica oleracea family are cabbages, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, collards and but not limited to kale
