I just use normal compost for outdoor use, and water them every 5ish days, its suits them fine indoors :]

i put mine out for an hour when the sun comes out,right now its outside on our picnic bench for a bit of sunshine,do u loosen the soil? coz mine is very stuck together in the pot!

Patience is a virtue.. especially for growing bonsai lol i don't think yours will last long.

Hm. I advice you go for Fukien Tea (Carmona) or Ficus indeed. You can take these species outside during summer but you should watch the temperature! ^^ Carmona has small white flowers during late spring and summer, really nice with their dark green leaves. I have two Carmonas standing in my bed room, located next to a window(south) and their easy to maintain. Till now... =p Azalea Indicum can also be kept inside and outside during summer, they also flower! GL
