hahahaha if its still alive water it when necesary not all bonsais need to be watered every day for example i water mine every 2-3 days depending how dry the soil is btw just a heads up but ya might wanna repot it and cut some of those dead roots

@jdfox1 im not sure what i am doing is right, but i water mine 2 a month, 1 time every second week, and i dop the whole plant in water and lift it up, then try to take out as much water as possible from it, so it has only as much water it needs to drink. If you water it every day it will sufficate(sorry for bad english) anyway, ive done this in 2 years now and its more green and bigger then ever... :/

water when the soil is dry. although most of these trees are very picky depending on their type, and if they're coniferous or deciduous, you can very well depict when to water them if the soil is dry. also try not to drown it, and try not to let the soil go dry completely. but it all really depends on your tree, i've seen so many different places saying so many different things. i'm no bonsai master or anything and i don't know your tree, so just ask a nursery or something for the best advise.

@jdfox1 you should water it every two days (and not like he watterd the bonsai) put it in a pot half full of watter and let it soak untill there are bubbles coming out or it will droun. And you should get a moisture meter for yr bonsai so you would know when to watter it.

i just bought an umbrella bonsai. mini trees are cute :)

I got a bonsai for Christmas, and the way I've been watering it was to leave it to soak in water about three quarters of the way to the top of the pot for about 45 minutes. By doing this the leaves are a good deep green colour. Is it fine for me to water my bonsai this way or should I do it differently?

@jdfox1 is it still alive ?
-
fuck yer village.... i killed my juniper asshole... let your plant dry out a little bit guy
-
so how do you water small trees???
-
@OCoptimusconvoy I don't know if this helps, but you fill your sink with water up to about and inch or so up the bonsai trunk, let it soak for 10 to 15 mins, then see if it's heavy, if it is, then you have successfully watered it.
-
i need do this everyday ?
-
@OCoptimusconvoy just pour the water over the rocks and it should go through
-
@jdfox1 U cant water it every day u have to water it after 2-3 days
-
WHAT!!!!???? I FLOOD MY BONSAIS AND THEY ARE THRIVING IN MY SUNROOM

@jbrenstrom Yellow leaves are an indication of over watering, If the soil is damp too the touch then generally its fine as it is. Of course tree's vary in care so your specific tree may have some specific needs. Google is your friend :)
