How To Grow Aquatic Plants
Tips, Tricks
liquid carbon explanation: http://aquascapes.info/pt/Liquid-Carbon/wiki.htm Hi everyone, This is a vid on how to grow aquatic plants which is one of the most asked questions I get, I don't claim to be an expert in aquatic plants so if you notice anything wrong just leave a comment and hopefully people will see it :) I explain the basics of what aquatic plants need in order to grow and make recommendations as to the types of lighting, ferts etc you could use. If you found the video helpful I'd appreciate a like! Thanks a lot for watching :D

Your chemistry teacher was wrong. That "aqua carbon" is a chemical called gluteraldehyde. Its the same as seachem excel or api's co2 booster. It works because it is a photosynthetic intermediary. Basically the plants can use it very similarly to how they use carbon dioxide while doing photosynthesis. There's a guy on youtube who does a great job explaining what gluteraldehyde is. Its called seachem excel secrets revealed I believe. Anyways, nice tank, whats the bright green plant on the ground up front?

Why do u need to add co2 as u increase the lighting intensity though? Does that mean that pond plants need co2 since the sun gives the strongest lighting?
