Hi, love your orchid videos! i have a question, would it be beneficial to place a layer of sphagnum moss around the base of the orchid to help retain moisture for greater humidity or do you think it would keep the orchid too wet and cause it to rot?

Hi Danny. Thank you so much for your videos and I learned a lot for them :) but I am just wonder if you could make a video about different orchids leaves? Like how many leaves that they will grow per year (especially phalaenopsis) and cattelya leaves color. I have one mini phal which is quite health I think and it produced a new leaves like one month or two when it was flowering and now.. The new leave is still growing but it started to grow another new leave! Is it a good sign that notice the phal is healthy? BTW you make me crazy about orchids and I love them so much now lol from one mini phal to twelve different orchids!!

How do you have a humid part and not so humid part of your balcony? do you put water buckets around? are there mosquitos where you live?

I love your temp!! It's intermediate and you can keep all the pretty orchids :( it's like 31 to 33 daytime and nights of 26 to 28 in Singapore.even growing onc intergeneric is hard but I'm trying.I do have beautiful cattleya and some boring dendro and a few beautiful braasavola species and blc hybrids.

Is the oncidium-type you focus on in the last shot a Miltonidium Katrin Zoch? If so, I have the same plant and it's fantastic, grows like crazy, with such a lovely fragrance too :)

You are so knowledgeable, and you obviously put a lot of effort into learning your information and caring for your orchids because they look fantastic!!! And I do believe I see a Coelogyne cristata in there by your Oncidiums. You will absolutely fall in love with this one when it blooms. Its super easy to grow and it grows fast when healthy. The flowers look so ethereal and heavenly and the smell is intoxicating. My favourite orchid by far. Mine is getting ready to flower now!

Great video Danny. I recently repotted my phals in spagh moss and put them in a much brighter area and they've been growing like mad! It's quite a warm room though so I don't know if I could ever get it to bloom. I've learned a lot from you, thank you very much!
