I don't understand. Do you keep the seeds in the cup of water for one week? Where does the paper towel come in? Is that just where you pour the seeds out before you plant them in dirt?
-
So they take 3 years to produce fruit. I think I'll just buy them from the farmers market since I don't have enough land to use on something that takes so long to fruit. But thanks for the info. www.JesusReallyDoesLoveYou.com

Hi I read that to germinate aromatic golden kiwi seeds that they needed to be stratified. The instructions were- Stratify the golden kiwi seeds for successful germination. Moisten some perlite in a small sealable plastic bag, and bury the seeds in the medium. Refrigerate for about two months.
Have you stratified your seeds? OR did you just place them straight to the “hothouse” to germinate from the seeds? -
So first off I love your videos!!!! Please never stop making them haha :) Second, do you keep the seeds in the water for a week or so until they start sprouting or do you take them out of the water and put them into something else? I also saw your other video where you placed the seeds in a plastic bag and switched out the damp paper towel every couple of days. Which method do you think is faster or most effecitive? I suppose I could try both and see which one I prefer. Anyways thanks for all your help!!!!!

Kiwi fruits are vigorous plants that need plenty of space. They should be planted 3-4.5m (10-15ft) apart. Plants start to produce fruit three to four years after planting.
Self-fertile cultivars are ideal where there is space for only one plant. Otherwise for successful pollination both female and male (non-fruiting) plants should be planted. One male plant can pollinate up to eight females and should be sited 60cm (2ft) away from one of the females.
Kiwi fruits require a sheltered sunny position, preferably a south- or west-facing wall, although they can be grown in the open in milder areas. Young shoots are extremely vulnerable to frost damage in the spring and may require protection.
They grow best in a fertile, well-drained slightly acid soil which is rich in organic matter.
Cultivar Selection:
Actinidia deliciosa 'Hayward': (female) The most widely grown kiwi. It is very late flowering and produces large, broadly oval fruits with good flavour.
A. deliciosa 'Tormuri': (male) This is a late-flowering cultivar suitable for pollinating Hayward.
A. deliciosa 'Jenny': (self-fertile) well-flavoured fruits.
A. arguta 'Issai' (hardy kiwi): Small fruits about the size of a grape ripen in July or August and can be eaten whole. Actinidia arguta is self-fertile and requires the same growing conditions as other kiwis. -
