how much time does it need for fruiting by growing it from seeds?

They are NOT easy to grow, I have tried once, Could you tell me what soil to use??? cause you cant grow them in normal soil that we got at home.

We eat the raw jackfruit as a salad, actually that is ho most people in Asia eat it raw as part of a salad. If you ever heard of papaya salad or pickled mangoes, they are all eaten raw and not ripe. In Asia, they can't wait till everything is ripe because there will be too much too soon so over the years people have adapted to eating them unripe.
