They also kill songbirds, eat their eggs and kill many other small mammals.Rats also spoil millions of pounds of food annually. They must eat at least 8 times a day and have a life cycle of 2 years. Do the math, a rat's average body weight is 2 pounds, they eat their body weight ounce a day, which is 1,460 pounds of food in two years. Go ahead, love on your rats, but remember they are not all cute cuddly little pets.

Mice and rats are very smart and can squeeze in almost any where. If you put these things or a trap in the same spot they will learn where they are and change their route and avoid those areas so you would have to have it everywhere...Wire mesh is good for things like that as they can't chew through it but they will find new ways...My best bet was sealing up as many entry ways as I could find. Set traps in known or other areas. Set up a bucket with paper on top so light enough they fall in but can't jump back out and put a dab peanut butter n the middle. If you can handle live mice in the bucket this is great....I dont wanna keep killing them but they can't let them live with me!!!!

My rats don't care a fig about all the pure essential peppermint oil I put in and outside my house. $77. dollars worth! They also do not mind the baking soda oatmeal and sugar. Tell me something that will really work!!

well I can't blame rats for hating peppermint, I hate it too and won't put it in my hen house. No owls are here to donate feathers. Hard to get pepper to stick to vertical surfaces, so that's out. The bay leaves might work, but your "tips" dont' work for poultry sheds.
