Bradshaw) The information in this video and/or transcript can be found in my book Secrets of the Pink Kush by William H. Bradshaw and is available in hard copy or e-book on Amazon.com. Please be advised that the book may be banned from some book stores in some countries due to the many secrets and/or content revealed in this three volume textbook for advanced students wishing to become Master Growers. This video describes the general processes for drying cannabis into finished product that is ready for the commercial market. Best Practices: There are many different ways to dry and cure cannabis. I will provide the best method that I have found for drying cannabis. It is effective and efficient but it is not technically cured, just dried but ready for commercial market and end use consumption. The most important point to remember is that heat and light will cause the finish product to degrade and hence lose value as a medicine. This will be noticed by the dull reddish brown hairs rather than orange and/or bright red hairs (pistils) after curing and drying. Your objective is to dry the finished product in such a manner that most of the THC/CBD content is retained, the moisture content is within the correct range (around 7%), the taste is unadulterated with mold or mildew from the drying process and the entire drying time is done within a 5-7 day range. Drying time will depend upon several factors such as moisture content, THC/CBD content, temperature and relative humidity. • Cut plant and hang upside down in dark cool area (optional longer method) or chop down and trim and place on racks immediately for two days in a dark cool well ventilated room. Ensure that the air flows around the product but not directly on the product. Watch out for smell if security is an issue. This will be the most vulnerable time for robbery or arrest due the overwhelming odour of medicine. • Trim plant after 7 days optionally or you can trim it when you chop down if you prefer which is what we usually do. It can be harder to trim if left too long. • Create or buy some drying racks. Metal screens with a wooden frame will suffice. You can use window screens for drying racks or buy nylon racks from any cannabis grow supply store. • Carefully place the buds on the racks. Dry for 2 days (no direct air but circulating around the racks) at 68 degress maximum. Keep around 65-68 because if it is too cold it will not dry in time and mold could become a problem. • Carefully roll the buds over after a day such that all sides are exposed to the air. Leaving them alone when not work as well. • Carefully remove product from racks. • Place buds into a plastic garbage bag and sweat for 18 hours. • Dry on racks again for 2 days • Carefully remove from racks and sweat again for 12 hours, • Dry for 1 day and then bag when it snaps dry. • If crispy on the outside then sweat for another 6 hours. • Test the buds to determine if the drying process is complete. Take your thumb and put the stem between your two fingers and the thumb. Attempt to push the bud stem, it should not bend but snap when completely dry. That is known as the snap dry test. If you wish to become a Master Grower then read Secrets of the Pink Kush for advanced knowledge on growing and breeding cannabis. It includes the exact procedures for creating super strains such as F1 hybrids like Diablos Kush and polyploids like Pink Kush, OG Kush, Girl Scout Cookie, Rock Star, etc. and on how to grow high quality medical grade marijuana using best practices. It also has solutions to the many problems encountered during the cultivation of cannabis. The book not only contains advanced information about breeding and growing cannabis but also information on many other topics about nature and humans that cannot be found in any other books anywhere in the world. Thank you for your interest in this topic. Credits Secrets of the Pink Kush William H. Bradshaw http://SecretsPinkKush.ZapperSoftware.com Billy Budd Clones http://BillyBudd.ZapperSoftware.com
