Ah! You make it look so simple!! I have a hard time slicing certain ones keeping the eyes in tact. i probably just need some good snips!
Keep the camera on the bits you're talking about, every time you said where the eyes were, the camera would zoom in but by the time it was zoomed in enough you had moved the tuber. Very frustrating. Great info, I just wish the eyes were shown clear.

Hi,is it a MUST to wait for frost before digging up your dahlias cause I live in the north of Italy and I have already started digging some tubers up (very nice)The reason is it's very warm for the season and the forcast says it's going to be mild till Dec.

If you have trouble finding the eyes, is it ok to split the tubers once they have started sprouting in spring? Or will it knock the plants back too much?
