How-to Direct Sow Detroit Dark Red Beets in Your Vegetable Garden

I have been direct sowing and growing Detroit dark red beets in my organic vegetable garden for quite some time now. Year-after-year, they have become a favorite vegetable for my family and I. Not only do they bear a beautiful deep, rich, reddish-purple color, but they have also come to be a nutrient-dense/rich cornerstone of our WFPB-PS (whole-foods, plant-based, plant-smart) lifestyle! From harvesting them from my organic vegetable garden, to preparing them in my home kitchen, I couldn't recommend direct sowing and growing these Detroit dark red beets enough. After I cook this delicious vegetable in my pressure cooker, I generally pair it up with a tasty, filling, starch like a potato or rice. Oftentimes, after cooking, I like to just slice-up the red beets and eat them alone on my plate. They are super tasty that way, as well!
