I'm fairly new to this, after it finished last year I cut it back and a new spike grew and it's bloom finished but it's started again, should I cut it back or keep it going while trimming the dead ends?
Every time I cut a dead end more grows, it's beautiful but am I going wrong? -

Hi Miss Orchid Girl!
I have a 2 spike orchid, one of them is completely dried, rown and crunchy. It is already cut almost at the base, do I have to cut it even more?
Thank you! -
What kind of fertilizer do you use in the dormant months and how often do you fertilize the orchid?

Can you tell me the name of the While Phal with Pink lip at the start of the video.

Very well done video! I have started collecting orchids this last year and love this amazing plant! My most recent orchid is doing wonderfully and has grown a spike off the original as well as a new spike coming from a new set of leaves, all while the plant has been in bloom. The flowers are just starting to drop and a sticky, almost sap like substance has developed on the ends of the spike around the flowers. Is this normal? None of my other orchids have ever done this.

I lost an orchid because I didn't cut the sike stems right down. Thanks to your video Danni,I will know better next time.It was such an unusual colour, but had yellow roots when given to me.I notice in many shops -big ones, that they are overwatering their orchids, and I told them so,after watching lots of your so helpful videos.Thankyou so much again

the more videos i watch from you the more orchids I wanna get :P, btw, I happen to notice that some of your orchids are in transparent pots some are not, I do like the idea that you can see how the roots are growing and moist level and such, do you recommend using transparent containers to all/most common orchids?

This is a great video for the general folks who end up buying their first orchids from the store! Most have no idea what to do when the blooms fall off. This one needs pinned somewhere. :) Thanks for the video on this, I'm going to share with some friends, they don't believe me... lol.

Hi,
Such great videos MissOrchidGirl! I have a Phalaenopsis that has two spikes that flowered recently. The flowers have now fallen off and the spikes are drying up. One spike is almost completely yellow, the other one is 2/3 still green, but drying from top to bottom. I would like to cut the spikes from the base. At what point do I do that? Do I have to let the spikes dry up right down to the base, or can I go ahead and cut right now? -
Hello,
I received a Phalaenopsis as a House warming gift. The Orchids are falling off and some of the leaves are drying. I hae tried to keep it moist. Not sure what else to do. Never had a Phalaenopsis before. Any suggestions? I would like to send you a picture so you can see it. Please let me know what I need to do, I would love to keep it alive. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I have a phalaenopsis, I have seen your video how to cut the spike but do I have to put a fungicide to the spike after I cut it? I am not sure if i have to put something to the spike after I have cut it, thanks.
