I just bought a Green Mound Juniper ,Juniperus Procumbens "Green Mound", from Wal-Mart the other day for $3.00. I wanted to buy as many as I could but I didn't have much money. I'm new to the Art of Bonsai and wanted to give it a try. I'v watched a few "how to" video and I found it very relaxing to look, fell and imagine how my tree should be shaped. I know the tree is telling me what it wants to look like and how it wants to grow. I was just wondering if you could give me a few pointers?

I don't know if you cover this in later parts but, every cut is a potential Bonsai. I use rooting hormone and cut at an angle the clippings, dip in the rooting hormone, and plant in a small container. In about a week there should be small roots forming. Transplant into a larger container as need, Great video, and job!

can I make a bonsai tree out of any tree? there is this specific tree-type I like because it grows at the beaches here and it reminds me of the beach and things like that, in other words what makes it a suitable bonsai tree?

Juniperus Procumbens nana looks so temting for Bonsai because of his dramatic folliage, even then I don't think it makes good bonsais because his branches grow pointing down only. They tree always will look depressed and weird.

Info on watering n feeding can be found in library books (they still exist!) but this video is SO helpful! Thank you so much keep it up!

what would be a good bonsai juniper to grow in Camberra, Australia? and how often would you need to water it?

im a newbie at this, but in a starter such as this is ther not a possibility of multiple specimies from this particular plant? Possibly go for a challenge and try to do multiple "sister" plants? and to not waste so much of a beautiful plant?

My videographer, and director. In later videos we worked out a series of hand signals she uses to let me know when the camera is rolling, how many minutes of video we have, when she will cut, etc. But this was an early video, and we were still figuring things out.
