How to Clone Marijuana Plants
Tips, Tricks
How to Clone Marijuana Plants: We are going to show you the fundamentals of cloning marijuana and show you how we clone marijuana. First some cloning marijuana basics: Take your marijuana clones from mothers that are at least 8 weeks old: Marijuana clones taken from younger mothers may result in weak plants, detrimental to growing your medicine. We are using a Vision Seeds’ Chocoloco as the mother plant for our clones but obviously you can use any marijuana strain you have. Choose your marijuana clone from the bottom of the plant: they have more of the rooting hormones needed (J. Cervantes, Marijuana Horticulture) Additionally have a cup of clean water nearby. Remove the marijuana clone from the mother with a 45 degree cut, using a razor blade or scalpel. Don’t use scissors as you will crush the stem when you cut it. The reason for the angled cut is to give the marijuana clone’s stem more surface area from which to drink and grow roots. Immediately after cutting, put the clone into water to prevent air bubbles from forming in the stem (an embolism). Air in the stem can prevent water uptake and result in a dead marijuana clone. Once you’ve cut the marijuana clone, take off the lower leaves, and give her another 45 degree cut higher up the stem. Again, have a cup of water nearby to place the fresh cut marijuana clone into. You will want to clip the fan leaves in half so the clone still has enough leaf area to aid photosynthesis but not too much to make the clone work to provide moisture to large fan leafs. The trimmed fan leaf makes it easier for the clone to process water from her roots (reduces transpiration and also keeps the leaves from touching each other). After her final 45 degree cut, dip her in water or your cloning solution or gel (there are many to choose from) and into the cloner, rockwool or soil. We use an aero-cloner: the bottoms of the clones are constantly misted with water. We usually just use plain tap water with no rooting hormones or gels. WISHBONE CUT (Splitting the clone’s stem) After you’ve taken the second 45 degree cut, carefully slice vertically through the bottom stem for a quarter to a half inch so the stem looks like a wishbone. This exposes more of the layer just under the plant’s skin (the cambrium) You will see 20-40 percent more root growth due to the extra surface area on the cambrium where the roots originate in a marijuana clone. The two rooted clones in the video were taken three weeks apart. The wishbone clone is three weeks younger than the straight cut and has almost twice as much root mass on her. Ya know, I thought a person couldn't cut into the middle of a stem for a cloner, I want to try that, I had done one single slice on the side after the fourty five degree cut thinking a person had to be careful not to cut into the middle, maybe this is why I had some difficulties with making clones. I am sure I just learned something new!

hi there
how do i keep mother plant in veg mood for long time? thanks. -
how come you cant train a clone???

To lower the risk of 'going to far' or cutting your finger when making the wishbone cut :
lay the clone on a flat surface then make the cut?
or i use a cheap scalpel/fine cutter tool for it .
Keep doing this great work! -
what time cycle you got your sprayer on/off for the clones? Nice straight forward video no bullshit right to the point thanks!

Cannabis has been known for thousands of years for all it's medicinal benefits and more. The reason it is illegal is offensive to say the least. Good job including this valuable herb on your blog. I am an activist for medicinal Cannabis and advertise my activism proudly. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.canna.findr .

hey guys just started watching some of your vids and I'm liking it but i got a couple questions... would it be ok to clone then veg for 2 weeks in the aero cloner, then put it in the f&d tray in a rock wool cube for flower? or would that shock the plants? and if i did do that how would i fit a 10inch long root in a 3 or 6in rock wool cube... just squish it in? sorry if you have answered these questions in other videos

What up family. I have a question. I have been spraying my girls with enstine neem oil since day 1 once a week just to take precautions for bugs. It's been working great so far. The problem that I'm having is that I'm moving into week 2 of flower now. When should I stop the spraying. I don't want to harm the flowers. Thanks family. I love the wishbone method.
