Probably one of the best videos I have seen Fluval put out. Extremely helpful for the new aquarium enthusiast. Definitely watch it until the end.

The cameraman is so annoying, stay still!!

Does Tom Barr know that you're using a picture of one of his tanks?
-
CO2 doesn't effect the fish in the tank?
-
I hear you can put plants on Driftwood?
also, how do you clean an aquarium if the substrate is almost entirely covered in small plants. -
Hey Tom, I have a question. Should I wash the substrate before adding it to my tank? Or just put it as it is.
-
Yep, no point mentioning lighting... 0.0

you are a great speaker! Very informative and easy to listen to. Thanks!
-
Thank you I'm more confident to start my plant tank

Great video! I have a few questions. My plants ie elodea keep coming out of the substrate, how do I keep them down? And plants in a natural lake stream, lake or estuary, where do they get CO2 from?
-
Good video, will plants thrive in 4/5mm substrate? Ive changed from sand to gravel and have 6 different species of plant in a 125litre (27.5 U.K gallons) tank. I use a liquid fertiliser on a weekly basis. I dont use CO2 but am thinking of getting the kit you showed in your video. How much would they benefit? And should i reduce to a 2/3mm substrate?

I cant even watch this its terrible! First off its algae not aljee! Its amoniA not amonium! And what in Gods nam is that camera man doing? The worst video ive seen and there are ones done by 9 year olds guys cone on

Hi Just out of curiosity and my love for Fluval products what was the first fluval aquarium, and thanks for another great video

I know decomp of leaves adds to the biological matter in the tank. But if these braking down leaves are in the substrate directly @ the base of the plant where it new roots are forming, Wont the dead leaves Act as food/mulch type thing???
If tank is kept clean with good filter and so on, would not the mulch from leaves be better for the plant ??? -
@Malory, the aquarium featured in the video is a 10-gallon.
-
How many gallons is that tank
-
Limiting it to 4 species would get boring for me. I just set up a 40 breeder about a week ago, and I'm up to 11 different species so far. Could end up adding more and/or removing a couple as it grows in. Loving the Fluval products though. I'm using the Fluval tongs, scissors, and pressurized CO2. Also using an FX5 and an FX6 on my 225 gallon (the FX5 has been running for almost 6 years now). Awesome brand.

Great video !!
I'm going to be setting up a new South America themed planted tank using either a Roma 240 or a Vicenza 260 does fluval have a co2 kit which would suit this size of tank?? -
2-3 mm? Looked like 2-3 cm. Or am I wrong? I want to make sure I buy enough for my tank.
