Pruning is an ancient method that plants wish they could do on their own. Plants that are pruned correctly grow more healthy instead of wasting it's energy on a stem or leaf that'll never give in return enough energy (or more) it took to keep it alive. There is a percent of all weeds or "natural habitat" plants that will die. You want to make sure it's not any of your plants. The decaying parts of the plants can also grow Fungus. Another reason why you need to prune.

@GlaciusNLV put it into a plastic bag with a bit of soil and then place it in the refrigerator. Take a look on it every 20 days to check if there is no fungus groing on it.

I'm living in Southern California and I don't think it will be cool enough for my Venus to go into dormancy when winter comes. Is there anyway I can induce dormancy so that my plant will live longer?

@STOPTHEEU nothing really...

Thank you for making these videos. I never had much luck with these plants before - I thought I was over-watering them, I guess I didn't water them enough!

What if my plant swallows peat? :-(

If you want one that moves then I would go with a VFT. If you get creeped out by the movent then get a pitcher plant.

I reessurected mine form the dead. but when a trap will form, it dies. how do I stop it? plus, when I cut the top of the trap, not the stem, the stem dies, and it turns black. and mine is so fragile, if the stem rips a little, the whole stem and trap dies! please make a video on what to do. Im begging you
