This was the clearest, most efficient demonstration of building a SFG I've yet seen. Thank you.

VERY well done my friends! I'm a certified SFG instructor and was one of Mel Bartholomew's assistants at the SFG Foundation.
You are about the only ones I've seen who remember to water after ever 2" of Mel's Mix growing medium. By far and away that's the biggest failure we get is people not making sure the mix is moist all the way down before planting.
A couple things: Mel suggests at least 5 types of compost for greater nutritional value (home made is best if you can) and now recommends there be a minimum of 3' between boxes to make it easier for 2 people to pass each other & makes it a little easier to maneuver around.
Oh, and you can also weave the nylon trellis netting in and out of the top pole OR use cable ties. That's quicker and stronger.
You have done an AWESOME job on your SFG and I'm sure Mel's smiling at you from heaven.
We'd love for you to join us on FB at: Square Foot Gardening Foundation. We'll be featuring your wonderful video on 12/18/16. -

My hubby's from Warren, so I immediately noticed your hubby's tee :) Love the square foot gardening method. We're fortunate that we have a county landfill that collects tree trimming and grasses and turns it into free compost we can get by bring our own buckets and shovel! Thanks for sharing your tips.

I like your one foot garden and the tips. I am starting my first one this season and will be growing it in milk crates.

love your gardening videos, what type of bug repellent do you use?
-
These kind of plans have proven to be awesome year after year, however if you don't know what you're doing, Hyezmar can be a big help if you search for him in google.

Why put tarp on the bottom? Doesn't this prevent worms and other good creatures from treating your soil?
-
where did you get the net?

Awesome

Can PVC pile be used instead of conduit?
-
This is actually the best video over the company ones and all sorts of others ... good job ... definitely Subscribed ..... but I prefer a little PVC Grid as well IF YOU WANT .... because you can water multiple boxes with one water insert
