the best part of this recipe is that alchol evaporates into the air so the soil can then be used to garden its how i clear a patch of ground then wait about 2 weeks then remove the dead weeds & start planting also being an organic gardener i have several recipes to kill what bugs you like wasps & mosquitos for just pennies per recipe

here is a simple & even less expensive weed killer that i have used several years now & it has worked wonders for me heres the ingrediants one quart of rubbing alcohol straight no other ingrediants unless you care to make a bigger batch use water but straight works best for me as an organic gardener & i live in the state of florida where weeds seem to grow everywhere

How did this end up working for you?

This works great on a hot day and also if you can get 20% vinegar which is stronger than the supermarket kind. Sold on Amazon.

By the way, this is confusing, if Epson salt is great for the garden, how come this weed killer brew has this ingredient in it? The idea is to eradicate the weeds and not knock them off and at the same time give them some nutrition. :) This is the same with the Dawn, it is great to rid the soft body bugs but not sure how that will work with killing the weeds. I think what is killing the weeds is the vinegar itself. But, I would not use it around the areas I plant my edibles because vinegar can change the pH in soil.
Someone did mention a while back on facebook that salt (probably table salt) is great for weed killer. -
I did some with vinegar only this morning, so will see if that works tomorrow morning. I think you have to wait a few more days to see them all dead. I did try the boiling water and that is great for weeds growing in the cracks of the pathways and the drive way.

Great video guys. Yes you're onto it. I used just white vinegar with a bit of water - maybe 80 vin to 20 water. And it works like napalm! I keep bees so I don't want any chemicals about.

I like this home remedy .. I love the smell of vinegar and this is worth a try. I am plagued with the violets that is a ground cover. Tuberous. Pull one up and you leave a nice healthy tube below ground to plague you next year.
