Help you grow corn and not fail! Noobs encouraged to watch. How to
Tips, Tricks
If you have never grown corn, please watch. This WILL save you potential lost time and anguish. The first corn stalk i grew was about a month older than the others i grew (years ago) so i was lucky to find this problem before i had 27 plants that were not pollinated. Problem= NO KERNELS!! Theres a how to video i found on youtube and THE CHICK DOESNT MENTION POLLINATION!! UHHH.... My corn is about a foot apart per stalk. Its growing pretty well in its Decomposed Granite mixed with cow poo. Watered three times a day for a minute or so on a mini garden sprinkler system. Auto Pilot. Dont use corn to turn into fuel to move cars or for any internal combustion purposes. Use switchgrass. Much more efficent process.

Awesome vid dude! However!! I did not see "Hello, my name is ....." stickie tags on the plants according to the credits. :) Entertaining and useful none the less, but I will put the name tags on mine. I think I have a Sally....

Those are empty husks you're putting on the silk. The pollen is the yellow/orange powder that comes out of them. You can probably see it on the top leaves if the wind hasn't blown it all away. Give the tassel an easy shake at about 9:00 am and you'll see a little cloud of it drift in the breeze. I use a paint brush to pick it up off the leaf and apply it to the silk.

man you seem so down to earth guy, gave me a couple of chuckles too.
