good for you...this is awesome. I have been gardening only a couple of years ...just learned to can last year...and I will be sixty on November 1st. We live in a small community and tailored our garden with raised beds and fence and pleasing solar lights and such, our grandfathers would have thought silly but for all the reasons you stated we wanted it nice. I did not put in flowers and said something to hubs about it for the bees but now I can convince him for sure. thanks your garden is beautiful

thank you for the advice. big fan of your videos.

I have put marigold inside my boxes also and those boxes have WAY fewer bug problems than the area where a lot of my bags are. They have more problems because there are no marigolds in that area. You are right. These smelly flowers DO keep the bugs away. Not all of them of course. But I have very few problems in the area where the flowers are planted. I will use them from now on

You may have answered this already. If you have I"m sorry for asking again. I see you're using electric fencing. Do you use that to keep out animals or people. Being that your garden is out in the open and not behind a privacy fence, do you have a lot of complaints from neighbors or anyone who tries to mess with it. The last garden I had was in a very urban area but was fenced in and I had a very big dog so nobody really tried to steal anything, though I'm sure if it weren't for the dog they would have.

I am planting Marigolds this year for the first time with my veges to keep away bugs. I am also for the first time planting over 90% of my garden in milk crates which is a really interesting venture.
