I have been trying to grow some runners from sweet potatoes and all I get are rotted potatoes. I have tried about 6 or 7 times and am about to quit. I did the same thing you did, put wood picks and in water they went. Changed the water when it got cloudy, but no luck. Yesterday I put my last sweet potato to water, this is my last one I have. Hope it will sprout. If it does, I will be set, because from the plant I will keep getting slips and will not have to sprout any more vines from the potato. Do you have any ideas why are my sweet potatoes rotting?

Oh how I love sweet potatoes! Thank you for sharing your method. I live on the coast and we get weather in the 60s for most of the summers. You had mentioned they love hot weather so should I not even bother growing some?

I just have to say that even though you are not in my zone, I love your videos. You actually teach how to do something. Most of the other people I have watched, just want to show off their garden and their crops. I am interested in learning, not admiring what others have. I don't cover or lust after what others have, but I love to study and learn to help my family. Thanks for all you do. Praise God for healing Nancy.

trick,, hydrogen peroxide, adds oxygen to water, keeps water fresh, speeds growth, a must with tap water, it's oxygen level very low
