Do you use potting soil or garden soil in your containers? Do you feed or fertilize your plants throughout the growing season? What would you suggest for feeding if someone does not have a compost pile or room for a compost pile?

Our little test garden taught us a lot about what will grow well in this area. The heat has beat down the garden and before I pulled the plants several looked to have rust. What do you use to treat for rust? Thanks for posting.
