This is a guide I made for beginners at HM:FoMT. This guide shows how to quickly get started and begin to build a successful farm. At the time of making the video there was one thing I failed to mention. After you have enough money buy a chicken as that will be some good daily cash and that helps to get a farm going until you can afford more livestock and crops. Turnips are also a good place to start if you are still in spring.

if you're using an emulator, you can watch tv and joing the goddess game show, guess the correct number or answer, use quick load and aave technique, if you're wrong just load. That's the best way, you can actually earn big money in just first few days

Advanced Tip:Don't Pick up and throw away weeds,it is considered littering in harvest moon and will reduce friendships if you are trying to build the relationships

you need to go advance starters listen to me go sell all the grass you can but keep 3 of each color and give it to staid hoggy and nappy they are 3 of the harvest spirits then ask nappy to do the watering while staid and hoggy the harvesting pus keep doing the same stuff give em the matching color of the grass then sell the remaining they do your crops plus you can spend time in the mine and keep getting ores then put them in the shipment box inside the chicken coop so time stops plus having less time in your farm you can build good relationship with the towns people later in the first year you should be friends with all the harvest spirits by the way in the summer you give 1 wild grapes or bread to aqua because there is no grass for him plus late game you can just ship or stack the grass just give em breads and special rice ball for bold you should have all the tools mystrille lvl have your house to its highest upgrade have 80% of the furnitures and have a minimum of 100k in your first year there is still much better ways to be more accomplish in 1 year

How do you change tools without going into your bag

You can actually throw things away quickly by going into your bag, selecting the item you want to get rid of and pressing the start button.

Is hacking the grass away considered littering

@Pegashy123 it's like real life in the fact that they re-appear over time. if you take the time to clean a little bit every day or take care of your ground/do stuff with it (such as plant grass, crops etc) this won't be that bad of a problem. when i played this i kept it mostly clean, but didn't worry too much about it

@ChobitAngels89 well, people have commented recently a lot that it is better to drop grass etc. in the trash rather than litter so i would suppose it makes a difference allthough i don't personally have experience with that. and it fits in the regular ds because it is a gameboy advance game

do you have to put the grass/rocks/brances in the trash ben or just drop them? and does this game fit in the ds' gameboy socket?

You shouldn't pick up weeds and toss it back on the ground to get rid of them. Everyone in Mineral Town loses a bit of happiness whenever littering happens, even if it's in your own field.

little tip: You dont have to go to that specific shipping bin, if you're selling grasses from the south of the town then its quicker to just ship them in the shipping bin in the chicken coop. Also when you're indoors it doesnt waste time as time stops when you're indoors.

@lumo1990 Petting your dog just gives it more hearts. When you have more hearts you can win the frisbee competition. The TV shopping network is on every Saturday, on the channel to the .... right, I think. To get the sock hook, you need to become friends with the old woman in town that never leaves her rocking chair. She has the two grandchildren. I think her name is Elli. If you give her wool she'll make you a sock.
