what's the best thing to do with all the loot? and loot piles in general.
-
Is there any add-ons for silverwaste, like fort timer or enlarge the supply caravan icon?
-
Thank you vm for this!!!
Pls do Dry Top and HoT maps -
Ik this wasn't around then but verdant brink actually makes a decent amount of money. Just do the meta and you make tons of $$$

I finally got the video to run, Loki. Outstanding tutorial!!
-
Video won't load. It just shows the loading circle endlessly going around. The ads have been good though. :-D
-
as a new player this map was very confusing, this clears things up, thanks heaps.
-
Thanks so much for this video. The first time I wandered into the Sliverwastes I was totally lost.
-
The whole "point" of the tangled vines (pac-man) is just to get to the center chest? There's nothing else down there?
-
Do you need living world 2 to do this
-
Great guide, thanks!
-
Awesome guide :)

So I'm confused on what I need to do to amass a large amount of the skeleton keys. I'm doing events but it seems like it takes forever to get the keys needed to farm for a good amount of time.
-
No wonder I got lost, there's so much stuff going on at the same time. Thank you so much for the tips 👍

great video, just a few comments
meta event: event consisting of multiple events or a chain of event - for single, unlinked events, just call it an event =)
mob types:
terragriffes: charge and shoot variant, jump over the shooty one, dodge to the side from the charging one. also, the line the charging one leaves is a projectile block
leechers: ranged attack are the tentacles, melee is like a well and will pulse damage and heal the thrasher. go melee when he tentackles you, go ranged when he pirouettes.
menders: apparently crits are what interrupts them, not just any damage. so people with high crit chance, go for them!
bosses:
terragriffs coming together is generally not a fun idea, they'll shriek which deals insane amounts of damage. ideally have them on opposite sides of the ring and let them run back and forth between bubbles without ever meeting. they will revert their course each time they get stunned by a bubble. one dps oriented player dedicated to bubbles on each side is really helpful and makes it a breeze (prepare them while the rest damages, then pop when he charges), the rest can simply maul those beasts. usually fails because people kill bubbles too early.
red: bubbles go to mid until a certain health percentage (50 or 20, don't remember). until then, just kite him away from the mid and he won't heal at all. keep poison on him if you can. it's better to use high damage aoes then single target (with lower dps, especially for eles) if you can reflect/block the little husks - a few swirling winds or shields of the avenger should take care of that and everyone can dps as much as they want. the small husks give regen on death, keep poison on and one mesmer with a sword will easily remove all regen.
amber: the timing is the hard part if you're running zerk. when a donut appears, it's still a safe zone. the damage starts shortly after it disappears. the damage can be avoided but the trolls do pull you into the damage, so if you have trouble surviving, maybe skip that one, really not zerker friendly.
general: (plat was good, didn't forget it) don't upscale too much. most of these bosses are far more easy if you go with ~10 people than with 30! unless a fort pretty much wiped, stay clear and avoid unnecessary upscaling (often happens at red, players from other locations start swarming in which is why the already annoying last 20% are even harder)
waiting for bosses: clear the waypoint! it only takes 30 plant mats, 5 players can do that incredibly fast if they all attack the same creatures (and thus get 5 plant mats from each mob). it will make it more likely for other players to port when they died (see below for the reasoning)
bosses: thrasher fails the most. reflects are king, but projectile absorbs work as well! (apparently one WoR/Feedback can only reflect 20 hits, after that it just absorbs anyway). killing pustules is not a bad idea to clear a safe area for everyone else if the group has trouble keeping up reflects. also again, fewer people are better, in my experience, 15-20 players (with 3-4 mesmers or guards who know what they're doing) is the very sweet spot where it'll just melt in half a minute or so, after that it can get annoying due to scaling.
always: wethospu has proven in other zones that downscaling only works when people go away, as they still scale up champs while dead. this might not be the same in silverwastes but it seems unrealistic ANet would've change the scaling especially for this map and ignored everywhere else. so if you're fully dead, port away, you will still get all loot but the bosses HP will reduce, making it easier for the surviving members (sometimes those are those that don't do that much damage, so any help they can get is valuable) - and please remember: even if ANet did change the scaling for silverwastes, porting away won't hurt! but if it's like in pact tyria, it will help immensely, so please be considerate.
pacman: the big chest apparently gives better loot if you open it on higher tiers. can't confirm, but since it doesn't matter, I think it's reasonable to just do the lab first and then go loot. also take a thief or stealth-traited mesmer, flowers are nice but stealth is better, as you also lose aggro from the dolyaks (lol). -
With the key of greater nightmares, you don't want to open it immediately, you should wait until the third phase of the pacman event to get 4 times the loot.
-
Hey Loki, Cecil here :D
I haven't been able to get on and play with y'all due to some WiFi issues. I should be back in September. Can't wait to play again :) -
Wait... those are not dolyaks :D
