Growing Zucchini (Courgette) Plants in a Pot.
Tips, Tricks
This is a one of two courgette (zucchini) plants I've been growing in pots since about late february. These courgette plants seem to thrive in 30L pots and are easily moved in and out of the greenhouse, which means I've been able to start the earlier and get a harvest sooner (End of May for a 380gram / 1 pound courgette isn't bad.) - Two zucchini plants (courgette plants, they are the same) are plenty to feed a family all the courgette they could stomach.

you left it too long

Shit video! No information. Waste of time

Do the pots need to be draining? I know they need lots of moisture as young plants but as adult plants too?
-
great harvest dude

My courgette leaves have white spots on them and i've seen a lot of other plants the same. Do you know what it is?
-
pick them while they are young

I must try some in pots. Looks like the size they sell in supermarkets.

It wasn't bitter at all :-) They were delicious. I always grow my courgettes to about 7 inch diameter - about the same as you see in supermarkets, and its always been very successful :-) Maybe you should try growing them a little bigger :-)
-
yes but then they are bitter...try them smaller...I think you'll find they're more enjoyable

This is still young... they can grow to the size of a fat baseball bat.
-
You need to pick them when they're young...this is more like a cucumber

love the army knife. i am currently watching all of your videos in one sitting. love it.

Getting an early start will help it produce more for sure.

That courgette looked great, ill probably do one for this May! Do you think if i was plant it in a pot mid feb, then plant it out in may it would grow more courgettes? Thanks for the videoes.
-
Agreed! Nice work on that zook, especially for may, very impressed! Thanks for the subscribe, looking forward to watching the rest of your vids!

It was actually perfect - and there was only one, because it was the first of the year... A courgette in May is pretty unheard of in the UK.
-
thats probably why you only have one on the plant...pick it earlier and you would have had even more
-
that should have been picked earlier...it will be tough
