I have a question, this isnt just for squash, but for all of my plants, is there anything i can do for my summer plants to make sure they bloom again next spring or do they just do that on their own? i dont want to do all of this work just to have all of my plants die and not grow back.

Thank you for posting this video. I didn't know the blooms were edible, we'll definitely try that! This is my first year container gardening in a while, I had forgotten about the stink bugs (yuck).. definitely don't want to let those breed.

I just planted straightneck yellow squash & dark green zucchini seeds in my raised bed...I guess this was not a good idea? I didn't know they grew into these huge bushes!
-
sauté them with bacon, onions, and garlic. Mmmmm..Mmmmm..Good!
-
I dehydrated some zucchini slices and they are good to eat dry like a chip. They get kind of sweet and nutty tasting.

Been growin squash 50yrs. You gave good advice!
Grow different varieties like crooked neck and pick small.Llike cukes, they will hide from Ya and stunt more squatch from growing they are devious bout that!
Seriously , I pick mine twice daily and still have them get too big which drains the plant ! Like the plant gets a single or somthing from the big fruit and stops bearing ! -
Loved your video, Thank you!

Thank you for your informative video. I learned alot. Never knew that stink bugs were the one insect that harmed squash & zuccinni plants. Good to know. I hope to plant & grow a few zuccinni & squash plants this summer.

I grow squash and zucchini also I think the mound will help mines from drying out usually they do very well but the summer heat was over the top last summer so I got one or two before they died .. love your video I always wondered which one was the male and female

the bigger they are, the longer the shelf life they have--- I just baked the last Z squash I picked in August-sept,,, so it lasted on it's own, on the kitchen shelf for 4 months. Amazing~
