Growing Trinidad Moruga Scorpions: My Outdoor Plants (9/4/13)
Tips, Tricks
Growing the worlds hottest pepper has proved to be more difficult than I imagined but my outdoor plants are doing much better. I recommend giving them very light fertilization and keeping the soil almost dry, but never to let completely dry out. My outdoor plants have just started to flower but have not set fruit yet. Stay tuned if interested in any updates.

What fertilizer do you use? 10-10-10 I'm using an 18-18-18 water soluble fertilizer. Is the fertilizer that I have effective for trinidads and reapers?

Great looking plants! We tried some grown in pots and some in the garden. The outdoor sun seems to be good for the plants.

Overly green leaves is too much nitrogen.

My trindiad moruga scorpion plant was planted around 2 months ago and Im using some artifical lighting! It grows pretty Bushy but Just straight up, the stem is just going straight up and leaves are only coming 2 at the time upwards! Should I do cuttings on the top so it grows more sideways?

Im only familiar w Reapers, do you start w just one sprout per pot? The Scorpions look very bushy. I have about 3-4 sprouts going in a 7 gallon pot and am worried they might be too crowded?
