Growing Tomatoes in Pots: Container Gardening (Ottawa city, ontario, canada)
Tips, Tricks
I have most of my tomatoes in buckets, pots, and they are growing well. Mulching them to retain moisture. Basil as companion plants for tomatoes, planted in same pot. Raising them in platforms to avoid left rot and other problems. Grey water are used frequently from my sinks. Buckets are re-used mostly I gathered from trash or neighbors.

Do you take care of the types of plastics your buckets are made out of? Certain types of plastics are known to leech toxic chemicals (most notably BPA), especially when they come in contact with the sun/heat, so I would be wary about using any old bucket laying around. Though I'm not sure if my fears are legitimate, I try to play it safe.

Nice garden! You go, girl! Check out Larry Hall's videos here on YT and his Rain Gutter Grow System. I'm growing massive tomato plants in 5 gallon buckets. Grow bags would be even better, which is what I'll be doing next year, but please do check it out.
