http://www.thehorticulturalchannel.info/sow-tomatoes/ Tomatoes can be sown in January, February and March. Sow seeds in a pot or tray of compost and cover with a light dusting of compost or vermiculite. Keep warm at 21*c. If you can’t provide heat don’t sow until the warmer weeks of late February and March on the windowsill. Once the second set of leaves (aka: true leaves) appear transplant into their own 9cm pots to the depth of the first leaves which should be just above the soil. Wait for the roots to appear out of the bottom of the pot before moving outdoors and then ‘harden-off’ over a week. (Harden-off: Keep indoors overnight but put outside during the day). If you are putting outside before the end of the last frosts make sure to protect the plants with fleece. Once frost has past, plant in their final growing positions. Once the first fruits appears feed every week with tomato fertiliser. Self-watering Propagator http://www.kingsseeds.com/kolist45/4/45136.htm?r=true Tomato, v.
