Growing The Best Carnivorous Plants - Sundews, Venus Flytraps and Pitcher Plants
Tips, Tricks
I know you are probably making "Little Shop of Horrors" jokes in your head right now about man-eating plants, but this was one of the coolest interviews I have ever done. We discuss growing some of the best carnivorous plants for fun and profit. Why Venus Flytraps are being wiped out by poachers to make an anti-cancer carnivora tincture. We share the easiest and best carnivorous plants to propagate. We spotlight sundews, venus flytraps and pitcher plants. We also show you how to keep a terrarium for pitcher plants and sundews. Cool knowledge to know for off grid living. Music Title Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b...

As crazy as this sounds, there is a variety of Venus fly trap that grows near the swamps in Sterling, Alaska.

8:35 it will re-open once? also, seeing how slow the traps close and how the venus flytraps look, it really looks like he is not caring for them that well at all. a lot of the information in this video is false too, but none the less, it was interesting, although time wasting to watch.

Very informative. I also like Lexi! :) I've got a Daddy Longleggs infestation. I've been told Essential Pepperment mixed with water and sprayed would deter spiders. I probably need to grow Venus Flytraps outside the house. Bet that would work even better! :)

Great video, and lots of fantastic close-up shots. I've had flytraps in the past, and they all died of black rot. Great tips about what type of sand and soil to use. I was using the wrong kind of sand, and wasn't using rainwater (just distilled water.) I learned a ton, thanks!

Very interesting, most of that was new to me. Thanks for sharing.
