After you wait for the leaves to brown (which makes the blub stronger I believe), you just leave the tulip bulbs in the ground. Year after year, you will have more and more tulips/daffodils etc. So thus, to store them, you just leave them in the ground and wait for them to bloom again.

for leaves to brown can taken anything from 4 -6 weeks depending which state your in . I have mine in pots and just move them out of site round the back of the yard and then dig them out for summertime flowers.
